Product Composition:


Steel Metal Pit Cover for Shore Power Th5 Cover+Th8 Frame including all fasteners and accessories 

Mechanical Hydraulic Shaft with gas spring designation and their pre-assembly/testing work

The pistons have to support the following weight.
Cover weight
- 2 Left cover weight: 57 kg/u. 
- 2 Right cover weight: 72 kg/u.
- 2 Middle cover weight: 104 kg/u.

Project Name: Metallic Covers of the shore power pit in TM2 terminal-Moroco

Standards Applicable:  Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures. 

Material Specifications and grade:  GB Q345B(Yield strength:345Mpa as equivalent to BS/EN S355JR) for primary steelworks and GB235B(Yield Strength=235MPa as equivalent to BS/EN S235JR) for secondary steelworks.

Loads:

The loads to be supported by the cover are: - People operating in the area: a safe value of 1kN/m2 is applied on the whole surface of the cover, equivalent to 1 person on a square meter, each one weights 100kg; with a total of 700kg on top of the cover; which is more than the 500kg required by the Client. - The load of a gangway (13kN, 26kN) on a linear bar of 0.56m as shown below (Linear load per meter 23.2kN/m, 46.4kN/m):

FE MODELISATION 

MODEL The cover structure is modelled using FEM software (Robot structural Analysis 2023). The considered thicknesses are shown in the following view:
